A special clamping mesh was developed by Krypton Ocean for its nodule-collecting chain-like tool in order to take nothing but polymetallic nodules from the seabed. The ocean floor landscape remains untouched when Krypton’s mining vehicles collect nodules.
Krypton Ocean Group is continuously developing new approaches to deepwater vehicles in order to improve their manufacturing technologies. Now we are working over to apply 3D-printing capabilities for “printing” the main body of our submersible vehicles. The compound based on epoxy with carbon fiber and graphene allows achieving extra firm heavy-duty parts for our vehicles. We are keeping pace with the latest technological breakthroughs.
Lightweight but at the same time heavy-duty materials for providing deepwater vehicles with zero buoyancy is a crucial factor for commercial seabed mining. Engineers of Krypton Ocean Group have successfully tested such type of material.
On February 14-16, 2017, for its promotional purposes Krypton Ocean Group took part in Oceanology International North America 2017, that was held in San Diego, CA, USA.
